Rob majored at Film school in documentary filmmaking, before taking up employment at the BBC, where he worked his way up the camera department, ultimately shooting some of the BBC’s flagship factual output.
Originally trained on Film. Rob was one of the 1st to embrace new technology, and has shot on most formats including Digi, EX-3, Red One, Canon 5D and most recently Arri Alexa.

Now working principally as a director, capable of shooting his own material, Rob still enjoys the challenge of working with other directors as a lighting cameraman on high-end documentaries. Robs approach to documentary making could be summed up as being
“Inventive, Collaborative and Ego Free!”
His imagery has been called “striking” “evocative” and “natural” and his track record in working with high profile talent is well illustrated in the list of credits downloadable from client page. His documentary work has been recognised by the Royal Television Society, BAFTA and the New York Television Festival.
