After a successful career at the BBC in London working as both a film cameraman and a director, Rob broke into advertising at a time when many big brands were exploring verité style or documentary look commercials for the first time. Within a few months his credits included Volkswagen, Boddingtons and British Telecom.
Keen not to be pigeonholed in this area, Rob was able to transition to shooting glossier and more stylised work, with a specific leaning towards the the retail food, beverage and restaurant markets
Rob has been fortunate to work as a director of photography for many of the UK’s finest directors and has assembled a portfolio of over 200 commercials, including many repeat clients. His experience covers film and most digital formats including RED1, Canon5D, F35 & Phantom HD Arri Alexa.
Rob’s passion for cinematography and his appetite for eye-catching imagery continues both as a DoP and as a Director.
